An affordable kitchen

I often get asked about where things are from my kitchen or told it’s the dream kitchen. I think it’s far from perfect, but it’s functional and works well for my family. I believe a low budget doesn’t have to limit creativity and it can actually enhance it. Lately I’ve been thinking about it and added up the costs of everything, realising it’s an affordable kitchen.

So I thought it might be helpful to link everything in our kitchen, which could inspire you to create your own or get ideas for your current kitchen. We don’t own the shed we live in, so I didn’t want to spend a lot on it and the things that could come with us when we leave.

The only thing in the kitchen when we moved in was the sink and bench top along the back wall, the bench is made from recycled wood.

The stainless steel bench is the most used part of our kitchen. If you’re short of bench space (Harry I’m talking to you) these can be incredibly useful and come in various sizes. We found some second-hand stools to sit on the other side, which we also use all the time.
