Bangalow, a charming town just a 10-minute drive from Byron Bay, offers a great range of amenities. There’s a pub, an organic shop, a small supermarket (though not always well-stocked, the IGA in the Byron industrial estate is better), a few excellent restaurants and cafes, and some cute shops. The town also has the CWA (Country Women’s Association), a fantastic rug shop, a pleasant playground on a river, and a farmers market on Saturday mornings. Additionally, there’s a larger market held in the Showgrounds every month.

My favourite place to have lunch is Mangosteen. They make great sushi, salads, karage chicken and miso soup. Check online for their open hours!
